4th Anniversary Revival

Sachiko Live Event

Famed “Last Boss” enka singer, Sachiko Kobayashi, is set to arrive in PSO2 as a goodwill ambassador of Earth. She’ll perform “Youkoso ARKS,” an original song created by indie artist Beat Mario, in a new live event.

The performance will excite and bewilder players with its ludicrous visuals, such as the Mega Sachiko. In the final stretch of the event, Sachiko even takes to the skies over the audience aboard a Phoenix.

At the request of the audience, Sachiko will perform an encore of her rendition of “Senbonzakura.” You won’t want to miss the spectacle as ray guns sprout cherry blossoms across the lobby.

If you’re attending the ARKS Festival, don’t forget to pick up the Youkoso ARKS CD which contains item codes for the music disc, a jukebox, and a panel featuring a cutout of Sachiko Kobayashi.

Godzilla VS PSO2

The King of the Monsters resurges aboard the ARKS Ship! Godzilla, featuring his Heisei series design, will appear in the Shop Area lobby for a limited time, unleashing his signature roar and atomic breath.

The ARKS League

A new Ranking System will automatically separate players into 20 person groups where they must compete for the highest score. This system tasks players with completing various objectives, like defeating a specific enemy.

You can find details on your current league by speaking to Mimi in the Gate Area lobby. She’ll also supply you with Star Gems and other rewards based on your placement in the ranking.

New Story Board Events

Enga, serving as liaison of the Earth Guides, pays a visit to Oracle. Suddenly, he and Hitsugi begin to argue. “What is her reason to fight” is a question Hitsugi frets over, but as the story moves forward, someone makes their appearance…

This story update gives you the first chance to play in the new Las Vegas field. Here you can see new Phantoms including the maniacal boss, “Devil’s Trailer.”

As you progress through the story, you’ll see members of the “Earth Guides” appear in other quests around Earth.

SG Scratch Recycling

Those unlucky with the SG Scratch can trade in all those unwanted items for an item they actually desire. For example, you can trade in 40 SG Scratch Items to receive an [Elder] Battle suit.

Collection File Expansion

Premium Set users will now be able to hold up to 5 Collection Sheets. The interface has also been adjusted so that you can conveniently view the sheet’s distribution period and cooldown times.

New Chat Commands

The wait is finally over! Now you can switch to any of your fashion presets with the new (/mf) chat command. In addition, you can use the (/face) command to change your character’s facial expression.

Aside from that, Cut-ins will no longer temporarily reset the direction of your character’s eyes if the (/ce) command is in use.

Weaponoid Potentials And Other Features

New weaponoid potentials for Imperial Pick, Nasuyoteri, H44 Missouri T, and Momijihime are coming along in this update.

Other New Features

• Bulk AC/SG Scratch drawings similar to the 1000 FUN Scratch game.
• Ext Receptors from PSO2es Emergency Quests which boost the affixing success rates of Flict, Alter, and certain other Special Abilities.

Scratch Updates

• Added the (12x AC Scratch Drawing), the (11x AC Scratch Gold Drawing), and the (10x SG Scratch Drawing).
• These drawings allow you to play the AC Scratch game (x) number of times in a single session. Adequate storage space is required to play.

Trigger Quests

• Established a 3-minute re-acceptance period to redo a trigger quest due to disconnections.
• You will also be given 3 chances to retry a quest if you were disconnected.
• The re-acceptance period does not drain if you log out or disconnect from the server.
• The person who initiated the quest will be able to play the quest again if they satisfy all the conditions below.
  • Their re-acceptance period has not expired.
  • They have not used up all their retries.
  • They have not cleared or failed the Trigger Quest.

Other Adjustments

• It will now display the reason why a character creation file failed to save in the PC version.
• The PS4 version will now direct you to the SEGA ID management page if you failed to complete your usage registration upon signing on.

Las Vegas

Take a vacation to the Golden City of Las Vegas in new quests on Earth! Embark upon the Rideroid, a mobile weapon capable of flight, to reach high atop buildings where enemies will sometimes appear.

The Statue of Liberty, riding a sphinx mount, will be featured as a boss called Vegas Illusia. As an embodiment of the famous sights of Las Vegas, she employs an array of bizarre attacks.

Master the skies of Las Vegas aboard the Rideroid! This craft is capable of high velocity aerial movement and can perform swift maneuvers, such as an upward boost dash and a nose dive. It can be accessed from the Rideroid Stands located across the field.

Las Vegas Enemies

Las Vegas is teeming with all sorts of unusual new Phantoms.

Riding Quests

Riding Quests are essentially a score attack mode in which players must increase their score within a limited time frame by defeating enemies and clearing Emergency Trials. Special events called “Emblem Time” will have everyone scrambling to collect as many emblems as they can before the clock winds down.

Collecting these emblems fills a bar that increases the score’s boosting rate. It’s imperative that we aim for a high score, as it will determine the rare drop rate for the items that are rewarded at the end of the quest.

Las Vegas Collection

The Las Vegas Collection introduces the Titan, Stelk, and Form weapon series. The Form series comes with a peculiar potential that causes a projectile slash to emanate from your weapon when attacking.

This collection also gives players an opportunity to obtain the Deadly Parfait, a ★13 candy that boosts a pet’s critical attack damage by 10%.

PSO2 The Animation NPCs (Part Four)

The implementation of PSO2 The Animation characters as in-game NPCs continues with the arrival of Kid and Silva. For just a limited time, both of these CASTs will be available in the Shop Area.

Collect their partner cards and complete their client orders to earn ★13 versions of their signature “God Hand-NT” and “Astral Riser-NT” weapons! These particular client orders are repeatable, and you can even change the photon color of said weapons at the Item Lab.

New Pet

Shinkurō (or Synchrō) is a Japanese themed pet whose Photon Art ability becomes stronger when you utilize its “combo power.” This “Combo Power” gathers as you connect different PAs in succession. Once enough of this power is collected, you can release an all-powerful final blow with the [Shinkuro Geki] attack.

Gathering Expansion

The Gathering System has expanded to the Las Vegas and Floating Facility fields. Expect to see a new recipe that raises the rare drop rate along with a ton of new skill rings that cover various features.

Put those extra ★10 and ★11 pet eggs to good use by trading ten of either-or for one Lambda Grinder at the Recycle Shop!

PSU 10th Anniversary Update

~ August 31st, 2016 ~

Phantasy Star Universe’s very own Ethan Waber and Karen Erra will be appearing in PSO2 for a limited time! While they search for a method of returning to the Gurhal system, the two will offer players client orders and a chance to receive their partner cards.

They can also pop up together during Emergency Trials, accompanied by “Save This World,” the opening theme of Phantasy Star Universe.

The ★13 weapons they wield can not only be obtained from their client orders, but also as rewards for clearing their Emergency Trial. You can also change the photon color of each weapon at the Item Lab.

Gurhal Collection 1 (AC Scratch)

Phantasy Star Universe’s 10th anniversary celebration begins with the introduction of the Gurhal Collection series. The first scratch will showcase outfits and hairstyles worn by characters Ethan, Karen, and Mirei. Another of PSU’s Project CUTE costumes will also be included. In addition, by playing the scratch twenty-five times, players will earn the Air Board lobby action.

A new Koltolva Juice item appearing in the scratch will boost the rare drop rate for 30 minutes. In addition, special abilities reflecting the names of each of PSU’s weapon makers will be added: GRM, Yohmei, and TENORA WORKS.

Regiment of The Wicked 2016

~ September 7th, 2016 ~

Joining the Otsukimi season is this year’s rendition of the [Regiment of the Wicked] Emergency Quest. Once again taking place on Kuron, the Gal Gryphon (with a special prefix in its name) will emerge with a chance of dropping ★13 weapons.

Regiment 2016 Collection

The Regiment 2016 Collection contains superior versions of the Gal Gryphon weapons. Get to work on completing this collection by playing the Emergency Quest.

Otsukimi Bingo 2016

The Otsukimi Bingo has players completing objectives through the Regiment of the Wicked quest and client orders offered by Ethan and Karen. Your efforts will be rewarded with prizes such as Star Gems, boosters, and the Usanoya Mag device.

Luna Nyau’s New Weapon Drop

Defeating Luna Nyau this year offers players the opportunity to obtain a new ★13 Partisan, Luna Mitsutuki.

New Story Board Events

The battle against Mother Cluster continues as Hitsugi cooperates with her newfound Earth Guide allies. Plagued by hesitance, Phaleg’s questioning of her “resolve” still echoes in her mind. Time won’t wait for Hitsugi to find the answer however, so she heads off to the battlefield, her heart wavering.

Two new Phantoms join the fray with the arrival of Laplace’s Demon and Maxwell’s Demon. An adorable yet fearsome creature, Laplace’s Demon utilizes powerful short range attacks. He is also capable of generating a spherical barrier to protect himself.

Maxwell’s Demon, on the other hand, is a flying bat-like eyeball that can self destruct with its HP depleted. Both of these creatures will make their debut in the Story Quest. Advancing far enough into the Story Board will cause them to show up in Emergency Trials during Free Field quests.

Huey, the Commander of Combat Operations, will make his first appearance of Episode 4 in a new story event. Check out his new look and join him during Emergency Trials to do battle with mighty foes.

New Quest Trigger

Now you can face Profound Darkness on your own schedule with the new [Perennial Apocalypse Trigger]. Join up with a few friends and clear the quest for the chance to receive a Ray weapon. 

In addition, the Trigger Quest will utilize the Level 3 equivalent of the A.R.K.S. support system from start to finish.

New Weaponoid Potentials

New Weaponoid Potentials will cover Glorious Wing, Niren Kamui, Judgement Hearts, and Yamigarasu.
