This latest update bring us our second Challenge Quest, taking place on the Tundra, Tunnels, and Skyscape fields. Near the starting area from Mission 2 onwards, players must decide whether they’ll pick up objects, such as an Energy Capsule or Mile Crystal. But that’s not all, as Challenge Quests are going to receive their own Boost Events. These week-long events target specific Challenge Quests, boosting the amount of Challenge Miles you can earn. Here’s a peek of the upcoming events coming late August through September.

Ideal Units
Players can dress for success, by matching the style of their Ideal weapons with “Ideal Units.” Just like their weapon counterparts, you can even change the unit’s photon color at the Item Lab. Their set effects come in two distinct flavors, the [weapon + arm unit] set, and the [rear + leg unit] set. Equip them all to receive both set effects.
Once you collect all 3 units, you can show them off to Zieg to receive Challenge Miles as a reward.
Photon Boosters
Photon Boosters are items that unlock hidden potentials for ★12 weapons. However, they may also be used on certain other weapons. These boosters can be acquired by trading in Challenge Miles at the Challenge Mile Exchange Counter.

Reduces PP consumption and increases power when using Technics.
Red Sword
Increases power when wielding an extended weapon.
Blitz Fender
Increases critical rate and critical damage.
Login Stamp and Other Improvements
In case you needed extra incentive to log in every day, the login stamp system is being reworked. Now you’ll receive an item each day you log in, rather than after several days. The item rewards themselves will thus be adjusted as well.
Time Attack Solo Rankings
Depend on party members no longer! The game will now feature solo rankings in addition to the normal rankings for Time Attack quests.
Recycle Shop: AC Scratch Item UI tweaks
For AC Scratch Items, there will be UI improvements (icons) making it easier to distinguish the items eligible for trading in at the Recycle Shop.
Class Boost
Now there’s a new incentive for leveling up your classes! When you reach level 75 in a particular class, you’ll earn its “Class Boost” as a Title Reward. This unlocks an effect that boosts certain stats. The effect is account-wide, applying to all the characters on the account.

On August 11th, Dengeki released the first ever fashion catalog for PSO2! Over 4,000 fashion items are documented inside with pictures and descriptions, including costumes, hairstyles, accessories, and more. The catalog also includes item codes for cool new objects in PSO2, such as a crouching lobby action.
Phantasy Star Online 2 has been announced for the PlayStation 4 console and is slated for a 2016 release! This announcement followed the exciting reveal of Episode 4 during the ARKS Festival 2015 Special. Episode 4, along with its brand new logo, will be released sometime in 2016.

The missing menu button has been a well-known issue that has plagued OTP users for years. To help combat this problem, Third Networks has decided to release “SecureOTP2,” a new application with its own menu button embedded right on the screen! This revolutionary new feature should help ease the pain for Android 5.0+ and beyond. You can download this app for free on the Google Play Store.
If you are a current user and have no problems with the original SecureOTP application, then there is no need for you to upgrade to SecureOTP2. However, those who wish to create a new One Time Password with future Android versions, should install SecureOTP2 instead.

Phantasy Star Online 2 is holding yet another Twitter campaign! To celebrate the release of the recent TV commercial, PSO2 will be handing out prizes based on the number of retweets received during the campaign period. Players can participate by retweeting the tweets that contain 【RTで報酬GET！ 第2弾】 in the text. The total number of retweets tallied will unlock the prizes listed below.
Head to the it-tells official site and enter your SEGA ID and パスワード PASSWORD in the two fields to the right. Push the orange ロギィン Login button to sign on. If you already have an it-tells user account, you can skip Step 2.

Tokyo Game Show Schedule
Sega’s Tokyo Game Show livestream officially begins on September 17th! Below is a list of livestreams specifically focusing on the Phantasy Star series.
PSO2: PlayStation 4 Stream

Topic: A PlayStation 4 presentation showing off PSO2’s beautiful graphics.
This year’s illustration contest saw players submitting various artwork themed after Episode 3 in hopes of having them turned into in-game room items. The contest concluded in July, and the top ten illustrations have now been announced! Events from Episode 3 can be seen in these works, such as the addition of the Casino, fierce battles against Magatsu, and Quna’s newest concert.
These items will be released when they are announced in a future update.
The Phantasy Star Online 2 Episode 1 & 2 Materials Collection releases on September 17th, 2015. Various concept artwork spanning the first two episodes of the game are included within, along with a special interview with the development team.
Item Codes
After three long years, Xion’s clothing and accessories are available for characters, both male and female! Unisex versions of her updo hairstyle and her long hairstyle from Episode 2’s dramatic conclusion are available as well. These items and more listed below can be acquired through codes included with purchases of the book.
Sega has released the first ever screenshot and trailer of the PlayStation 4 version of PSO2. The PlayStation 4 version boasts high quality graphics due to some adjustments made to the game’s rendering engine. This version will appear in playable form at this year’s 2015 Tokyo Game Show, beginning September 17th through the 20th.

Campaign Qualifications
(1a) Register your account on it-tells and join the community.
(1b) Have a character on your account at Lv. 50+ on PSO2.
Both (1a) and (1b) need to be satisfied to qualify for the it-tells Rappy Suit.
Head to the it-tells official site and enter your SEGA ID and パスワード PASSWORD in the two fields to the right. Push the orange ロギィン Login button to sign on. If you already have an it-tells user account, you can skip Step 2.
Step 2
On the registration page, you can enter your it-tells username (referred on this page as a ニックネーム nickname). Click the big orange button below to agree to the User Agreement.
Step 3
After signing in, you’ll reach the “Profile” page allowing you to fill in information or add an avatar. But for the sake of this tutorial, you will need to visit the “it-tells x PSO2 Campaign” page to qualify for the Rappy Suit.

Step 4
Two dialog boxes will appear, push [はい] and then [OK] to complete the process. Afterwards, the bright orange button on the page should turn brown, indicating you’ve successfully joined the community.
