This table is updated periodically. We may not be able to cover each round in a timely manner.
Each round has a set objective, whether it is to clear a certain quest or defeat a certain enemy. Clear these objectives to contribute points to your group’s score, and stars to purchase items at the Arkumami Prize Shop! Stars and Points do not carry over to the next ARKS Ship Competition event. Stars you earned for the United Festival Cup are only applicable for this event.
Stars
Stars are acquired by clearing the objectives. Use the stars to purchase items at the Arkumami Prize Shop.
In each round, there’s a [Borderline Number] for stars. Reach this number to earn stars and items as a bonus—once per round.
In each round, there’s a cap to the number of stars you can earn.
Certain quests are not applicable for receiving stars.
Points
Clearing the objectives contributes points towards your group. These points will determine the order the ships are placed at the end of each round. Their placement determines the amount of “victory points” achieved. Learn more about this in the “Scoring” tab.
There’s a cap to the number of points you can contribute per round.
This tab lists the rewards you can acquire per difficulty level. For example, in the screenshot above, clearing the targeted quest on Super Hard nets you 30 stars and 30 points. The points themselves will be contributed into the group’s overall score. You can do these over and over until you reach the cap. Click on the “Objectives” tab, to learn more about the cap.
The event is divided into several rounds which start every 12 hours. At the end of each round, points contributed by players are tallied to determine the winning group. Each group will then earn “victory points” based on the order in which they place.

The group with the most victory points at the end of the entire event will become the champions!
Groups that ranked high could acquire EXP, Rare Drop, or other boosts. Groups that ranked low can acquire Round Boosts. The number of points at the conclusion of the previous round, can determine whether or not a Round Boost occurs. Whatever boosts you receive will be listed in the round information window for you to confirm. Details of each boost is listed in the “Current Boost Information” section, just to the right of the “Round Information” window.
This tab also lists the schedule for the boost event which usually occurs in the next round. For example, since Round #1 started on March 1st at 12 PM, then the boost period will apply March 2nd at 12 PM.
Each group will receive a boost based on the results of the previous round. For example, groups will receive a general boost that covers rare drops or rare enemies, etc. However, groups that ranked high will acquire higher percentages, compared to the groups that rank low.
Round Boosts, on the other hand, have percentages set for each group based on the group that contributes the most amount of points. However, this pertains to points contributed by the group directly, and not the points that were affected by the Round Boost. With all that said, there is still the case that a Group may not receive a Round Boost based on the amount of points they contributed. You can check details of the current round boost by accessing the Quest Counter.
The final results will be announced on the large monitor at the conclusion of the entire event. Each participant will receive a number of stars based on the final ship ranking. These stars can be used to purchase items at the Prize Shop.

The following changes will take place in a future update occurring late March.
The first phase of the Magatsu EQ will be updated under a new name, titled “Manifestation of the Calamity.”
The contents of this quest will not change and will remain basically the same.
This new Magatsu EQ will become pre-scheduled only.
As a result, [Advent of the Annihilator] will end its run — no longer occurring in the future.
This update arriving in late March will add a second phase to Magatsu. You must now clear the first phase to participate in the second phase.
1st Phase Magatsu Adjustments
The 1st phase quest can be completed up to 4 times per ship. After the fourth time, you will no longer be able to accept the quest on the same ship even if you use a different character.
Magatsu will have increased shooting resistance in certain areas.
Magatsu will have increased ice resistance.
Magatsu will have decreased HP on Extra Hard
Magatsu will have boosted 10 and 11 star drop rates on XH
Due to the above changes, an All Skill Tree Reset Pass will be distributed.
Challenge Quests are a new type of quest where players are set to specific levels and skills. Within the quest, players will be tasked to clear a series of Missions before their VR Energy runs out. The farther they reach, the more Miles they earn, which can be used to purchase ★13 weapons.
Players can participate in Challenge Quests by teleporting to a Challenge Block. As they teleport to this block, they will enter the “Challenge Lobby” with their class automatically switched to the “Challenger” class. This class is able to equip all weapon types, and can learn any photon art, technic, and skill.
Shared Ships allow players to party up with people from other ships! Shared Ships work a bit differently from regular ships in that some of their communication functions are separated (e.g., Shared Ship Friends List, etc). Keep in mind that you may lose access to some features
, which will return once you head back to your current ship.
VR Energy is the little green bar beneath the Area Map
VR Energy acts like a timer of sorts, slowly decreasing as time moves on. Your progress through the quest stops immediately once the bar is completely empty. Stay vigilant and avoid dying, as that’s a surefire way to reduce the energy bar. Fortunately, you can partially refill the bar by picking up “Energy Capsules” along the way. In addition, you can also restore some energy by using Moon Atomizers on fallen players.
Interval areas act as breakpoints during the quest. Here, the VR Energy Bar stands still, giving players time to exchange for weapons, units, photon arts, technics, and skills at the Recycle Shop.
Challenge Miles act like a form of currency, that can be spent to acquire ★13 weapons at an Exchange Shop. The amount of Challenge Miles you receive is based on the clear rate of the Challenge Quest.
After the quest, head towards the 2nd floor of the ARKS Shopping Lobby to purchase ★13 weapons at the [Challenge Miles Exchange Shop]. Here you can acquire the “Ideal” weapon series which have a unique characteristic of allowing you to change their blade colors for free at the Item Lab.
This tablet marks the location of your highest record. The color for your tablet shows up as blue, while other players show up as grey. Let’s work together and break our previous records.
Challenge Quests also have their own ranking system. These “Challenge Quest Rankings” will be separated into “Individual” and “Shared” Ship rankings. Details for these rankings can be confirmed by accessing the monument in the Challenge Lobby. Winners will receive trophies they can proudly display in their room.
Our first Challenge Quest will take place across the Forest, Cavern, and Desert fields. In this quest, players will start off barehanded, forcing them to find weapons along the way.
Other Information About Challenge Quests
Other players will not be able to pick up items that dropped for you.
You can choose to drop the item on the field, so that another player may acquire it.
After the challenge quest is over, when you restart the quest or return to the lobby, your character will revert back to level 1. Items you’ve acquired in the quest will disappear, while photon arts, skills, and technics are unlearned.
[Mining Base Defense: Despair] and [The Pitch Black Province] have joined the ranks of Extra Hard difficulty. Play the quests for the chance to receive some ★12 weapons.
★12 Weapon Grinding Relief
Reduced Meseta Costs for ★12 grinds.
Partial relaxing of the maximum grind risk for ★12.
The Episode 3 Deluxe Package releasing March 19th includes item codes for Nagisa and Shizuru’s items! The first 30,000 players to enter their codes will also receive the Nagisa Swimwear costume.
Nagisa will appear in the lobby for a limited time (March 18th ~ April 22nd). Clear her client orders to receive her partner card! You might even find her in some Emergency Trials.
Zieg’s shop is receiving an update, allowing you to convert weapons from PSO2 Packages into weapon camos! This includes Steel Hearts and Rengokuto Ensa from the Episode 3 Deluxe Package. For example, the Soul of Wopal weapon and 10 Craftsman Seals can be combined at his shop to create a *Soul of Wopal weapon camo!
Don’t forget to input the secret phrase (しまたろう) to receive the ARKS Cadet voice tickets. These tickets will be distributed at a later date.
The aforementioned changes to Magatsu will occur in a future update arriving late March.
Nagisa and the Weapon Camo Conversions mentioned in the previous post, will arrive in the March 18th update.
About the Emergency Quest Calendar
There seems to be a bit of confusion over how the EQ calendar works, so here’s a basic rundown.
The Emergency Quest calendar can only list events that were scheduled ahead of time by PSO2’s development team.
Emergency Quests not on the calendar will occur at random. There is no way to predict all EQs for the current week like the pre-scheduled list.
However, if you are premium user with PSO2es installed, you can receive notices for Emergency Quests 1 hour in advance.
The Emergency Quest schedule below lists both Emergency Quests and the start times for Boost Events. Things like “EXP Boost Day” and “Mesetan Shooter: Boost Period” are merely there to inform you when that Boost Event is about to begin. There are no Emergency Quests called “EXP Boost Day.”
Please be sure to notify us whenever there are issues with the calendar, so that we can fix them as quick as possible. Also keep in mind that you may need to resync the calendar periodically as Emergency Quests and Boost Events can change at Sega’s discretion.
This tab will be updated during and after maintenance.
The Emergency Quest schedule will update automatically during maintenance. Please wait until after maintenance has ended to see the current schedule.
Please resync the calendar periodically to receive the latest updates, as the schedule may change at Sega’s discretion.
This calendar is unable to show Emergency Quests that occur at random.
Boost Eventsthat occur for 24 hours will appear in this calendar with only their start times.
Boost Events that occur for several hours will use the “period” suffix in their titles. Please check the Google Calendar itself to view the event duration.

The Magatsu you know and love has received an expansion! This revamped quest will not only receive a new title, but also give players the opportunity to further face off against Magatsu in a second phase. But before we talk about that second phase, let’s review some of the changes in store for the original Magatsu.
Magatsu’s Phase 1 Adjustments
The Emergency Quest [Advent of the Annihilator] will receive a new title: Manifestation of the Calamity.
Manifestation of The Calamity will become a pre-scheduled Emergency Quest, giving Magatsu some resistances mentioned in a previous post.
Clearing this quest will give players the opportunity to participate in the second phase once the quest is available.
In the second phase, players will board the A.I.S in an epic confrontation with Magatsu. Not just one, but three different Magatsu will appear through the series of battles. These include a striking type, ranged type, and the golden Magatsu Sai.
The A.I.S will also be equipped with new powers, such as:
Weak Buster: Fires a bullet weakening the enemy’s defenses.
Over Boost: Provides a sudden burst to the thrusters, giving you a quick boost high into the air.
Area Heal: Recovers the HP of yourself and nearby allies.
Upon incapacitation, players will have to wait a few moments before their A.I.S revives.
The records and memories of ten years ago; everything associated with this girl had been erased. Beneath the battle between this girl and [Apprentice], an evil lurked. An evil that threatened to devour the present; an evil that attempts to deceive history. Several people have gathered on Planet Lillipa in search of the truth!
The Cherry Blossom Lobby returns once more, gracing its surroundings with the relaxing sight of pink, dancing petals. Sakura Nyau will appear for a limited time, dressed in a freshman school uniform with a flute and ransel in hand. Upon defeat, he may drop the Sakura Ransel weapon camo!
Seraphy makes her PSO2 debut, handing out client orders for a limited time in the ARKS Lobby. Clearing her orders will reward players with chip fragments, which can be traded in for items at her exchange shop.
Players can also receive chip fragments from a quest available in the smartphone version. These fragments can be traded in for items within the PSO2es Recycle Shop.
Channel the essence of youth with sailor-style school uniforms and fluffy pajamas. Players can also gear up for battle with the heroic [Gal Striker] and [Amdkaiser] costumes included in this scratch!
We’ve got a fun week ahead with a number of rewards from the successful ARKS United Festival 2015 Web Panel Event. On top of that, Nagisa will make her debut in the lobby for a limited time through April 22nd.

The second Ultimate Quest has arrived, this time taking place in the underground tunnels of planet Lillipa. This quest features many enemies that specialize in Ranged attacks. Players should break past the barrage of attacks to engage the enemies at close range.
Falke Leone & Vlima Leopard, two formidable opponents encountered in this Ultimate Quest. Falke Leone is known for his swift movements and close range attacks. Vlima Leopard however, specializes in high-powered long distance attacks.
Zeta Granz, a massive enemy with four gigantic shields. Contrary to its large size, it can perform swift movements with close range attacks. But be forewarned, as Zeta Granz can also unleash long distance attacks.
In [Corruption Survey: Lillipa], players will face fearsome foes resembling Lillipan Mechs. New Yuga-style aquatic type Darkers will also join in on the action.
Ultimate Quest Lillipa opens with a brand new wealth of ★13 weapons. This, “Slave” weapon series, can be obtained from not only the new Ultimate Quest, but also by exchanging [Yurlungur Crystals] at the Pyroxene Exchange Shop. Clearing the quest repeatedly can reward you with a fortune of said crystals.
Get ready, because on April 22nd, Phantasy Star Online 2 will be adding new photon arts for Gunslashes, Dual Blades, Double Sabers, and Partisans. Be sure to pick up the new compound technic, “Fomelgion,” by clearing a specific client order from Klariskrays.
The Excube Exchange Counter will add a new item that lets you level down a particular stat by 1 level. This device will be available for Mags at level 101+ at a price of 50 EXCubes.
At long last, players will be able to simultaneously search for multiple special abilities on weapons and units in Player Shops. A maximum of 4 special abilities can be specified, narrowing down the search results to items containing all of those abilities. Additionally, new settings when searching for items of certain rarities will be included.
We’re having a party and you’re invited! The Party Maker allows players to recruit for party members right in the middle of the field. Accessing this device reveals the party’s status, its goals, and the class levels of the person who dropped it. You can access this new feature by selecting it from the Quick Menu.
On the party creation screen, there’s a new option to checkmark, that tells players they are welcome to join the party. Players will take priority in joining, even when it’s filled with NPC partner characters.
Party Sorting
Searching for parties at the Quest Counter is going to get a little easier. With this update, the party listing can be sorted by their room number.
There are new options at the Team Counter that allow non-Team Members to enter the Team Room! Team Rooms are locked by default, so it’s up to you to turn off the entry restrictions.
Team Point Adjustments
The number of team points gained when clearing a quest with fellow team members will be increased to 50. Furthermore, the costs of upgrading a team to level 2 and acquiring a team room will be reduced.
