Version 1.01 Next Week

A new update will be arriving to Phantasy Star Nova on December 11th, 2014. This update will add two new characters to the Cold Sleep Counter, ｢３Ｚ－１０３｣ and ｢Sega Eigyo Man｣. Aside from bug fixes and typo corrections, there’s going to be a new setting in Options that automatically sends cores and materials you obtain to the storage box.

On December 17th, players will face the gigantic towering boss known as “Magatsu.” This boss is strong, powerful enough to destroy massive protective walls with its body.

The goal for this quest is simple, players must prevent Magatsu from advancing and destroying all the walls. They’ll have various tools at their disposal like turrets, photon particle cannons, and the [calamity-binding arrows] used to hinder its movement.

The quest will introduce “Quick Emergency Trials,” where players are tasked with objectives like “defeating specific enemies” or “evading Magatsu’s attacks.” As they continue to fight and clear the objectives, they’ll earn points for Sukuna-hime’s Divine Blessing! This blessing grants players with higher jumping ability, faster movement speed, and a wider Moon Atomizer range.

Players will also have the chance to acquire new 12★ weapons, some of which came from previous Phantasy Star games.

New Crafting Items

New crafting room items like Craft Ex Maker 4, Craft Tech Maker 4, and Craft Timed Maker 4 increases the chance for a Great Success a tiny bit more. These room items can be yours at the Crafting Shop.

Extra Hard Quests: Part 3

Two more quests join the ranks for Extra Hard difficulty. Desert Guerrillas and Volcanic Guerrillas will feature level 80 enemies with the chance to drop new 11★ and 12★ items.

Japanese Style Team Room

A soothing escape in a beautiful garden, where the cherry petals flutter about. Let’s go on a stroll, enjoy the cherry blossoms, and listen to what our fortunes are for today.

Cosmo Fleet Hero

This scratch features a new collaboration with Space Battleship Yamato 2199. Susumu Kodai, Yuki Mori, and Akira Yamamoto costumes & voice tickets, as well as other costumes depicting the Yamato captain and crew will also appear. These new voice tickets come with extra chat commands, with [/vo12] as a self introduction, and [/vo13] through [/vo22] for various lines of speech.

New Years Furisode and formal wear costumes will also be available in the scratch.

Upcoming Cold Sleep Passwords

 Dengeki will be releasing a few more Cold Sleep characters later this month. The first up is [Dengeki Bazooko], whose password can be obtained in the upcoming [Dengeki Bazooka: 2/2015] issue going on sale December 20th.

The second character, [Dengeki’s Sister], can be obtained from [Dengeki Playstation Vol. 582] going on sale December 25th, 2014. However there seems to be a discrepancy between the issue number and the sales date, so we’ll correct this information as details emerge.

In addition, Dengeki’s Sister password has already been leaked , so you can add it now instead of waiting for the issue to release.

New Quests

Garnet (CV: Yukana)

A young lady forced into the ARKS by her bigwig father. Garnet was raised in the lap of luxury, naive to the ways of the world. She expresses her dissatisfaction even while on duty; declaring she’s either hot or cold, or wants to go shopping!

Sunshout (CV: Tomoaki Maeno)

As a member of Delta Valiant’s security forces, Sunshout keeps an eye on crime within the ARKS so that peace and order can be maintained. Being a Cast of logic, he conducts an investigation into a suspicious case.

• Added a feature that allows for the precise placement of Attachment Parts.

New Year’s Event

The ARKS Lobby will transform into a New Year’s Lobby starting January 1st through January 14th, 2015. During this time, you can see Rappies and a red Shinto shrine gate at the center of the lobby.

The Neujahr Nyau will appear in quests, donning a hakama and wielding a colorfully decorated bamboo rake! Defeat Nyau for a chance to obtain a kumade Bullet Bow weapon camo or a Sword designed like a harisen.

Year of the Sheep Revival Scratch

Two AC Scratches will arrive on New Year’s Day. “Year of The Sheep: Accessory Selection” and “Year of the Sheep: Lucky Bag G” will revive popular costumes and accessories for two weeks.

The Accessory Selection scratch features lobby actions, voice tickets, and accessories. Most notable are the “French Braids” and “Demon Tail” accessories,  as well as the “Asymmetrical Wild Wolf” and “Eternal F Layer” hairstyles. A brand new hairstyle called “Natural Medium” is also included in this scratch.

The Lucky Bag G scratch bundles several items together, whether they may be costumes, hairstyles, and accessories, or a complete set of Cast parts. For example, the “Ulala Repca Cherry Set” comes with a costume, hairstyle, accessory, and lobby action based on the Space Channel 5 heroine. You can even acquire Quna’s “Winter B” accessories all together in one whole set! New hairstyle “Natural Medium” can also be obtained from this Scratch.

About the Emergency Quest Schedule

There seems to be a growing number of questions as to why the Emergency Quest schedule doesn’t list the times of every Emergency Quest. So let’s take the time to explain why this happens and how it’s set up. There are basically two forms of Emergency Quests, ones pre-scheduled by SEGA themselves, and ones randomly chosen by your Ship’s servers. Due to this, the calendar is unable to predict whenever random Emergency Quests are going to occur. However, to get around this, Premium Set users with PSO2es installed will be given announcements to Emergency Quests 1 hour in advance. By pulling these push notifications, the community is able to check if an Emergency Quest is going to occur 1 hour before they happen.

Random Emergency Quests are determined by the Ships themselves, so you can have cases where some ships will have different Emergency Quests appearing at the same time, while other Ships have none.

In addition, some Emergency Quests will only appear at the times SEGA schedules for them. These kinds of quests are usually mentioned in future update news postings under the title, “Pre-scheduled Emergency Quest” or “Pre-scheduled Exclusive Emergency Quest.”

Come celebrate PSO2 Vita’s second anniversary with the ARKS Unity Festival 2015! The event itself will be held from January 14th through March 15th featuring a new limited quest, a Web Panel event, and Xie’s limited client orders and FUN shop.

Taking place in a chaotic metropolis, the event kicks off with a new limited quest featuring all sorts of enemies, like Dragon-kin, Mechs, and Oceanids. Why even Dark Vibrace is expected to appear! Join forces with Quna or the Shironians and slay the bosses that stand in your way.

New items like this ★12 Talis will drop in the quest.

ARKS Unity Festival: Web Panel Event

Players will collectively earn points as they clear lines on the Bingo Card. These points are tallied up and used to unlock rewards listed at the official site. These rewards will include weapon camos designed by the teams who won the ARKS Grand Prix 2014!

Xie’s Limited Client Orders and FUN Shop

(ARKS Unity Festival 2015) Xie will appear for a limited, handing out client orders and opening up a FUN Shop. Spend FUN Points to acquire weapon camos from the previous Unity Festival event.

Extra Hard Support

Players at advanced difficulties can take on powerful enemies in [Mining Base: Intrusion] and [Mega Mecha Awakening]. These quests will now support Extra Hard difficulty, allowing players at level 70 and above for the chance to receive new ★12 weapons.

Harukotan Style

A new scratch will be heading our way on January 14th, featuring Japanese themed costume and parts, and outfits from characters in the story.
